Background
----------

At the end of the Skaarj Wars, the many Skaarj military bases and outposts scattered across the world were searched thoroughly for any survivors or deserters from the alien forces.  

One such base, located in the foothills of the Rockies, was infiltrated by a squad of US soldiers, and cleared of all hostile resistance... except one. A lone Skaarj scout managed to activate the bases' defence mechanisms, flooding the rooms and corridors with a deadly neurotoxic gas. The final detonation sequence malfunctioned however, and the station remained intact, otherwise the families of the 16 frozen corpses found slumped in the halls might never have known what truly happened on that fateful day.


Author's Notes
--------------

I had been toying with the idea of doing a remake of one of my earlier maps, Mori2ri, for quite some time. My thoughts were to rid the map of the room-corridor-room gameplay that had plagued the original. Thus, the level was rebuilt from scratch, and only bears a partial resemblance to Mori2ri (which is most definitely a good thing), especially with the use of the IceSkaarj texture pack by Hourences. I seem to have a fixation with the SkyCity pack, so utilising a different set was a welcome change in creative direction.
